Tricia measuring out

Once this costume is done, We will be planning on shooting very soon. She's doing such a fantastic job with it and we are both very excited!

After Red Riding Hood, She has also been busy working on a Cinderella Costume that we can use. I am so thankful to have a best friend... That can sew, because in all honesty, I can't sew for the life of me.

One thing I have learned as well, is I think I might try to also do many shoots during play rehearsals, because the cast I have got to know a little bit from going there, they are such a great cast and people! As I have seen the 2 sessions of their rehearsals and get to know the play a little more, they fit them so perfectly well.

I am so thankful to have these new opportunities in store for me and I am looking forward to keep on going as much as I can.

The Sisters Rosenweig

So as you can see I been pretty busy, I just have to keep on pushing myself to keep moving forward, but lots of fun and new people to meet along my journey!

I'd like to take this time to say Thank You  to everyone who's been a part of this whole journey .

An update on my Brother:

He is home still recovering and unable to work but he is keeping in great spirit during his healing process. He is still unable to work, with no income coming in yet. I still have a GoFundMe campaign going on for him.

I feel bad because I wish I could help him, but I can't until I start making sales. If anybody would like to donate to his GoFundMe account, I know the both of us would so be greatful. (He doesn't know I'm running this for him, I'd love to be able to surprise him after, and plus he's stubborn)

His GoFundMe link is : http://www.gofundme.com/5nwq6s

My brother has always been a hard worker, worked as a carpenter all his life, and this has greatly put a burden on him. and I'm trying my best.

Thanks everyone for reading, and I hope you all enjoy my journey as much as I am! Thanks for sticking around with me!

Going in Two Directions, Focusing on the Same Thing

Hello everyone! First I'd like to say, Happy Thursday! Can you believe Turkey Day is in a week? Where has the time gone too?

Anyways, I have some great updates that I'd love to share with you guys! Everyone who has been reading my blog knows how I have been running my Etsy Shop. I'm sure many know, How I wanted to "expand" myself into working on more things.

I thought it would be a great idea to be able to offer my photography work on items, and that is exactly what I am doing!

So now, I am running 2 different shops, even though they are both involving the same things. Now I can create and design my work onto many things such as mugs, cards, post cards, pillows and more!

So, On Etsy, I will have my digital downloadable images along with a few Photography Prints

Then I will have my Zazzle Shop which will have my work created on many different things! I can also make and customize anything you'd like if you'd like me too!

Browse other gifts from Zazzle.

So if you're looking for Gifts for the Holidays feel free to stop on by!

I'm also going to be practicing on some Digital Art as well to make even more patterns and more for cards and so on.

I know running two shops, with 2 complete different places sounds a little crazy, But I am hoping they will compliment each other and have it work out the best.

Thanks for reading guys and I hope to hear from many!

News and Updates! A little bit of everything and a Thank You!

Good day everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday! Tonight I would like to share some fun things I have done recently.

For a start, I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a dress rehearsal for a play called "The Sisters Rosenweig". The cast were pretty amazing and with many fun personalities! I went there to do some photo shoots for them to use. I know the play is going to be great.

Those who know me know I don't do a lot of photography with people so this was a great opportunity for me and a great experience.

Here is a sneak peek at one of the photo's from the dress rehearsal, during their rehearsal. :)

So on some more news, I finally have some prints on hand! I put in an order for some 5x7's to start out with. When a picture is sold, they will be sent inside of a cardboard easel frame with a black border.

I have a few I have recently listed in my Etsy shop, but if you do see one that you would like to purchase, and is not in Etsy yet, please feel free to shoot me a message. You can still order through me personally, I accept PayPal! If you also see one but would like it in a different size, I can also order those for you (I don't have other size frames yet though).
I been trying really hard to push my  name and my work out there. I even started to list on Ebay as well as Etsy and might make a store front for my website. (Maybe). It's been pretty hectic, a lot of images and just so much work but I am very dedicated and optimistic.
I would like to give a big Thank You to everyone who has been sharing and showing support. A lot of people who know me know I enjoy what I do and I do take a lot of pride into my work. This is probably something I have been so focused on and working on for a long time and I wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for my friends and family and fans. You guys are a huge motivation to me so I deeply Thank You for that!

I plan making short term goals, and continue to strive and work on them into my long term goals. So my short term goals, is pretty much selling my work. I am hoping for the month of November and December, to sell at least 10 Photo's.. Whether it's an instant download, or a print. I don't think 10 is a bad idea for 2 months, right? lol.

So cheers to everyone here! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening/night as it's almost my son's bed time here lol

Fundraising Surprise for My Brother

So those who know me on a bit personal level, My brother recently had heart surgery. (Got to love heart complications in the family!). He had to get his Aorta valve replaced with a mechanical valve.

He is getting released tomorrow from the hospital but it's still going to be a very long road in recovery. My brother is only 33 yrs old.

He doesn't exactly know I am doing this because he is as stubborn as I am. So I have some special things going on.

On Etsy for the month of November, 2014, 50% of any profit I make on Etsy will be going to him.

Also, I have set up a GoFundMe account as well for anyone who wishes to donate. Anything will help towards him.

I'd like to take this time to thank everyone who has read this, as it is important to me. Besides the fact that he is family, I know exactly what he is going through right now and the struggles down the road while he is recovering.

I would love to be able to surprise him, and at the same time see him relieved of any stress on bills, medicine ect.. While he is home healing.

Thank You everyone! <33

Why Instant Downloads or Emailed Images Are Great For You and Me

So many of you know in my Etsy shop, I have converted all my images into instant downloads or via email. Some of you have asked why? I feel this way benefits the both of us! Here's a few things. :)

1. You can print as many as you'd like on any kind of paper , Whether it's at home, or a photo lab of your choice. Matte, Lustre, Glossy ect.. It's totally up to you!

2. You can have an image printed on any type of canvas or posters you'd like from any photo lab aswell. This makes it so simpler and easy and also great ideas for gifting! (Holidays are around the corner!)

3. You can have the images printed on things like coffee mugs or even cards to send to your loved ones. (Not to sell them to others)

4. No Shipping neccessary! You have to think... this probably is one of the best benefits for the both of us! No shipping and no shipping fee needed. :)

So there are a variety of ways you can use photography and now you understand why I chose to make mine Instant Downloads or Emailed.

I hope this helps others get some great ideas out there!

As long as you use them for gifting purposes, let creativity come to life!

If you still would like to order prints, I can still work with you!

5 Reasons Why I Stay Optimistic

If it's one thing I learned in this lifetime.. It's negative thoughts don't change the reality of things. So I don't want to waste my energy, trying to change things that simply can not. Why bother?
I always try my best to think on the optimistic side of things.  I have always been a believer that life's what you make of it.

I've learned and experienced many things in my life. I just can't let it bring me down. I can't let it stop me from what I love doing. I want to live my life doing exactly what I love... Which is Photography, Writing, Spending the time with family that I am blessed to still have.

So I know this is a random post, especially for this blog. But here are my 5 reasons why I stay optimistic.

1. I know deep inside, there will always be a light at the end of my tunnel. Things can seem the worst, but I'll always be hopeful for better.

2. When you're striving to become a better person, or striving to succeed... I may have my failure moments, but it's lessons that you learn along the way on your journey.

3. Keeping a optimistic/positive mind set every day, just makes every day that much better. You feel like you have a better attitude on things and I think that can really effect others but in a good way!

4. I feel as long as I live an optimistic life, and keep a positive look out on life, my son will do the same. He's six years old right now, and I would hate to see him feel that he can't do something he loves. I will always push myself to succeed, so I can show him he can do the same.

5. Last but not least, You only live once. You have this one chance to do things you love. You have this chance to show everyone what it means to keep going even if you fell a few times but still stood up each time. I don't take life for granted. I cherish every day I wake up, Every night I go to sleep. We only live once. In my life, I want to be remembered for things I loved doing, all the fun days, funny moments, and just always live in a positive way.

So shed light on others with your positive mind set. You never know who's day you just made!

Are you waiting for Winter?

Isn't it crazy just how fast this year has been going? I feel like it was just yesterday that I was taking my son to the pool often. Now as I type this, I'm wearing 2 shirts and a hoody!

In a way I am a bit excited to see any snow, at least for the beginning so I can take some awesome shots. Right now I been really brainstorming and thinking of ways to make what I want to do a success.

I love Etsy, I have my own website that i'm still learning how to put together lol. What else can I do to branch out? What do you guys think?

On a good note, I did add a cute lady bug picture into my listings of you guys want to check it out. I'm still trying to figure out what would be more of a popular demand when it comes to selling Prints or Digital Downloads. If anyone has any information on it, please feel free to share with me.

Oh on a random note guys, we learned how to make home made hot pockets and oh my I could so eat them every day if I could! Maybe I'll share with you guys soon enough how!

Until then.. Here is my best friend Tricia Stuto for a random picture of the day!

My Son Turned 6 Yesterday!

Greetings everyone! Yesterday, October 20th, my awesome son turned six years old! He had such a wonderful time celebrating at school and at home.

Richy at school celebrating and so happy!

Due to having some gloomy, colder and rainy weather, I haven't really  been able to get any shots from the outdoors, so I wanted to try something a bit more creative and indoors...

Learned a New Flower Today

I will admit sometimes I just can't seem to "Think outside the box". I took some beautiful pictures last month of these flowers that were quite stunning. They were red and very textured and symmetrical. I will honestly say, I never seen flowers like these before which is why I was super excited.

I am very..verrrry far from being a flower expert so of course, I wanted to know what kind of flowers these were called. I kept googling things like "pom pom" looking flowers and so forth and I just couldn't...get it.

So finally today, I had a friend of mine help me because I was lost lol.

So on that note, I would like to share with you my newest Etsy listing of the Dahlia's.

Beautiful Dahlia's

They just may be my favorite flowers for a while. Hope you guys enjoy!

Hello there :)

Okay, I'm pretty sure I can say I may have a blogging problem lol. I know I have a website with a blog on it, but I do love Blogger so much that I really wanted to make one here too. So hello!

I would have loved to some how make blogger onto my website on Weebly but I just can't figure it out. (If anyone knows, Please feel free to tell me lol). My new Website: trishsphotography.weebly.com

So.. A lot of people know I have been doing a lot of outdoor photography. I started with my Android phone and now I have a Nikon D3300 which I am SO happy with!

I decided after a long time, I'd love to be able to sell my prints. I know they are great quality, I know I put the work in to make them look amazing, and I am very optimistic about it.

I recently started working on instand downloadable photos as well. They're mainly the shots I done before I got my Nikon. Majority are great for up to 5x7 and a very few up to an 8x10.

I'd just love to see my work in other peoples homes. Especially those who truly appreciate photography and digital art as well.

So please stop on by sometime and say Hello! My instant downloads are only $5.00!

I'm going to try my best to continue to keep everyone updated on my experiences, days, trials and errors and just everything :)

Thanks again everyone!
